Bankruptcy / Creditors’ Rights

The firm represents
creditors in all phases of asset-based litigation and bankruptcy, including workouts, litigation, trials, appeals, pre- and post- judgment remedies and reorganization proceedings. The firm is regularly involved in the enforcement of security agreements and finance leases. We repossess collateral, litigate deficiency balances, obtain relief from the automatic stay to foreclose on or otherwise take possession of collateral, compel rejection or assumption of executory contracts and unexpired leases, obtain allowance of administrative expense and other priority claims, defend or prosecute adversary proceedings and contested matters (including preference and other avoidance actions), and generally defend and preserve creditors’ rights in the bankruptcy forum. We represent clients throughout Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia (and in Delaware, New York, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia with local counsel association).
