Adam Spence Saves Church Property from Tax Sale Foreclosure

Adam M. SpenceUncategorized

This past year, Towson attorney Adam Spence received a phone call from a church group stating that church property was in a tax sale foreclosure proceeding.  Apparently, due to an unfortunate turn of events, tax and maintenance obligations on the property had fallen through the cracks and were unattended to for an extended period of time.

Mr. Spence immediately jumped into action for the church.  Mr. Spence contacted the foreclosing attorney and delayed the tax sale.  Mr. Spence then contacted Baltimore County to resolve several code violations and penalties which were part of the foreclosure.  Mr. Spence also cleared a “cloud” that existed on title to the property.

Ultimately, Mr. Spence was able to reduce the penalties assessed against the property, arrange for continued maintenance of the property, pay the tax bill and have the foreclosure suit dismissed.

While the church felt that this work was nothing short of a miracle, the attorneys at Spence | Brierley have developed a reputation for long hours and hard work to achieve desired results for their clients.
