The State of Emergency and attendant mandatory COVID-19 quarantine imposed by the Maryland State Government have had a considerable impact on society, including the practice of law.  For many attorneys, learning to use technology now required by social distancing has been both difficult and confusing.  Such now-required technologies include video conferencing technologies, screen sharing capabilities, paperless offices and electronic signatures.

To do their part during the COVID-19 pandemic, the attorneys at SPENCE | BRIERLEY have developed on on-going series of seminars and materials to provide Maryland attorneys and small businesses with information on managing the new reality.

In the latest installment of this series, trial attorney Adam M. Spence presented a seminar to the Maryland State Bar Association titled E-Signatures:  Managing the New Reality.   As a result of this and other programs presented by him, Mr. Spence has now prepared and presented programs to over 300 attorneys on best practices for working remotely since the Maryland Governor’s Emergency Order was first put in place.
