Attorney Garrett E. Brierley of SPENCE | BRIERLEY in Towson, MD, recently obtained a $170,000.00 + judgment against an unlicensed residential contractor who performed defective and incomplete work related to three separate investment properties in Baltimore City.
After testimony, the Court held that Plaintiff was entitled to damages for not only the monies expended correcting and completing the defective work, including significant costs for materials, but also awarded damages to the Plaintiff in the approximate amount of $70,000 for lost rental income which was lost due to significant delays in the renovations caused by Defendants.
